The Laurel football team bounced back from a loss against Billings Central, cruising to a 59–0 win at Hardin on Friday.

The Locos got off to a hot start, scoring 35 points in the first quarter and taking a 42–0 lead into the half. After a 38– yard Eli Aby pass to Jack Waddel and a two yard Beau Dantic run the Locos went up 14–0. Waddel and Dantic both had pick–sixes and Bantic added another two yard TD run to give Laurel the five touchdown lead. In the second quarter Aby hit Waddel again for a five yard TD going into the half.

Jaxon Wittmayer had a 35– yard run for a score and Tyler Emineth hit a 28–yard field goal in the third. Owen Wilcox gave the Locos their final score of the game on a 15–yard run in the 4th to close the game out 59–0.

Laurel had 264 yards of total offense (139 passing and 125 rushing) compared to the Bulldog’s 82 and had no turnovers and two interceptions on the day.

Eli Aby was 9–14 for 131 yards and two touchdowns. Jaxon Wittmayer had three carries for 53 yards and a TD. Wilcox had five rushes for 50 yards and a score, Dantic had five for 27 and two TDs. Jack Waddel had three receptions for 39 yards and two TDs, Konner Gregerson had two for 37 and Jace McNeil had two for 26.

Tomorrow’s scheduled game against Glendive was cancelled on Tuesday because of COVID–19 cases at Dawson County High School. It is unknown if and when the game will be made up.
