Panthers dominate Scouts
On Thursday night the Panthers dominated the Lady Scouts of Bridger starting with an 8-2 run in the first followed with a 14-3 run in the second to end the half up 22-5. The second half proved to be much of the same. This allowed coach Gauthier to give everyone playing time, resulting in the bench contributing 16 points to the final of 42-13.

Panthers derail the Engineers
The Lady Panthers put another mark in the win column Friday night by beating the Engineers of Harlowton, putting the Panthers 5-1 in conference play. Their only loss was to the Engineers by 1 in OT in late December.
The Panthers came out with energy and determination scoring 8 to the Engineers 2. This put the Engineers on a catch-up course that remained unchanged the rest of the game. Harlowton got in foul trouble early which also gave the Panthers an additional advantage. Two of the Engineers ended fouling out in the 4th. The Engineers tried to get some rhythm going in the second quarter but it proved to be much the same outcome as the first. A three pointer by Blakely Verke put the Panthers up by 10 at the half way mark.
Both teams had more turnovers than either coach wanted to see, but the Panthers were able to capitalize on their opponents’ errors while Harlowton could not answer. Rebounds and points from the line for the Panthers proved to be too much for the Engineers. Bethany Vandoren drove to the hoop and was sent to the line as the third quarter buzzer sounded. Bethany swished both free throws as both teams watched from the bench. Rebounding strong, cutting to the hoop, and getting good passes from her teammates allowed Tehya Ray to get to the free throw line 15 times where she scored 10 of her game high 14. She also had 11 rebounds to help the Panthers go on to win 39-27. The Panthers will be on the road this week going up against Plenty Coups and Absarokee.
