Lady Locos have tough start to season

Outlook staff writer

The LHS girls beat Belgrade 68-49 on Dec. 9.

The Laurel girls basketball team went to Sidney for the second week of December and played Belgrade and Havre. Both were losses, but they gave the team an indication of what kind of work they have to do and what kind of improvements they have to make for future games.
“We were pretty happy for the first weekend out,” said coach Amber Griffith. “We now have a better idea of what we need to work on and the preparations we need to make moving towards february.”
They play at Columbus on Dec. 16.
