Knows Gun showcases art at Chief Plenty Coups State Park

Montana State Parks will offer a free showcase of the artwork of Crow artist Rabbit Knows Gun at Chief Plenty Coups State Park on Friday, July 14 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
 An active artist since 1973, Rabbit Knows Gun has been called the “Visionary Artist of the Poor”. He presents Crow history, culture and spirituality through symbolism in his art. His mediums include watercolors, oil pastels and acrylics. He’ll be at the visitor center to meet guests. Rabbit’s artwork will be available for purchase.

Chief Plenty Coups State Park is located within the Crow Indian Reservation in south-central Montana, 40 minutes south of Billings. It is a day-use park that preserves the log home, sacred spring, and farmstead of Chief Plenty Coups. This state park is a National Historic Landmark. The park has a visitor center, picnic tables, and is a beautiful place to come and explore at. Furthermore, Chief Plenty Coups offers a wonderful variety of educational and interpretive programs.
