Laurel High School senior javelin thrower Keeli Harris has signed a letter of intent to compete with the University of Montana Grizzlies Track and Field program.

U of M announced Harris’ signing on the Montana Griz Track and Field Facebook page on December 29th.

Harris finished 2nd in the javelin at the 2019 Class A State Track and Field Meet as a sophomore (The 2020 track and field season was cancelled because of COVID-19). Harris competed in the Big Sky State Games in July of 2020 and was 2nd in the javelin, as well. Keeli Harris is also an All–Conference and All–State volleyball player and is a member of the LHS cheer squad.

UM Javelin Coach Coach Ryan Wiedeman said, “Keeli is a great kid, very driven and an athlete. She is not just a thrower. As a coach I want athletes, they are easier to teach and they have more experiences in others sports to draw from.” Congratulations Keeli!
