Joyce Farrow Brathole

Joyce Farrow Brathole passed away peacefully on January 23rd, 2021 with her husband and family by her side. She was born July 21st, 1943 in Grey Eagle, Minnesota to Clyde and Bernice Farrow. She was raised in Ward Springs, Minnesota and attended grade school there. She graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1960. She moved to Conrad, Montana in 1964, to Billings in 1969, and to Laurel in 1970. She was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church, a member of WELCA, where she served on the Bereavement Committee. She was employed at the Palace Bar & Lanes from 1977 – 2005. She enjoyed bowling for many years and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in 2013. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, wood crafts, and flowers, as well as many hours spent with Bob, family and friends at their cabin in Nye, Montana. She enjoyed her grandchildren’s baseball, softball, basketball, and volleyball games and any time spent with them. She is survived by her husband Robert Brathole; children Lisa Ronan, Lori (Terry) Wetzel, Linda (Paul) Nygard, Larry (Michele) Steinhoff, and Paula (Lee) Huebner; stepchildren Sherry Norton and Michael (Sarah) Brathole. She is survived by 14 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, as well as dearly loved brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and two grandsons, Shae Steinhoff and Shaun Reiter.

A memorial service and luncheon will be held in the spring at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Yellowstone National Cemetery. Memorials are requested to Our Saviors Lutheran Church or a memorial of your choice. Joyce will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
