Brooke Kathleen Miller & Joelle Lyn Luoma

The truth about the Class of 2020 is that no student could have possibly expected this unforeseen ending to their 2019-2020 school year upon entering it last fall. Despite the lack of normality within the graduation process this year, Joliet still respects each student’s departure with honorary tradition, no matter the need of having to do things a little differently. Each graduate will now hold a unique story in regards to their high school experience. While being a student comes with its own set of struggles and challenges to overcome, not every class will get to say that they also had to power through a pandemic to get to the finish line. Two students excelled among the rest of the J-Hawk senior body and have been appointed Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Class of 2020 from Joliet High School.

Joelle Lyn Luoma

The Joliet Class of 2020 Valedictorian is Joelle Lyn Luoma. Daughter of Dennis Luoma and Hallie Spoklie-Luoma, Joelle plans to attend Montana State University Bozeman in the fall of 2020 and pursue a law degree.

Brooke Kathleen Miller

The Joliet Class of 2020 Salutatorian is Brooke Kathleen Miller. Daughter of Tom and Heather Miller, Brooke’s future plans include serving in the Navy, and later receiving her degree as a physician’s assistant.
