The J-Hawks are perched atop the Southern C 8-man standings along with Lone Peak after they clawed the Denton/Stanford/Geyser Bearcats at home on Friday in a 50-18 win.
The J-Hawks trailed 0-6 in the first quarter, giving up early points for the first time this season, but came flying back to claim their third victory in as many games. They took a 22-6 lead into the half and then outscored the Bearcats 30-12 over the final two quarters to take the 32 point victory.
Coach George Warburton said the team responded well to their first deficit.
