Joliet earns first win of the season

Matt Niles threw for four touchdowns and ran for one more as the Joliet J-Hawks picked up their first win of the season with a 46-18 victory over Lodge Grass Friday.

Niles had scoring strikes of 29, 12, 40 and 65 yards before running for a three-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Terryn Bermes caught a pair of Niles scoring strikes, while Levi Mydland and  Jared Schwend hauled in the others.

Bermes added a 30-yard scoring run in the third quarter to put Joliet up 33-6.
