The Joliet boys are seeking improvement this season after not making out of the District 4B tourney last year. The J–Hawk boys team didn’t advance to Southern B Divisionals during the 2020–2021 season after taking 4th in the district tournament. They opened the tournament last year with a 56–29 win over Shepherd then got blown out by Huntley Project, 82–40. They rebounded in the loser–out game, beating Roundup 58–52 before losing to Red Lodge 45–35 in the consolation game. Only three teams advances to the Divisional tournament last spring.
Head Coach Loren Bangert said there are two returning seniors this year in Hayden Ward and Cory Dworshak, and one new senior player; Randy Hurst.
Bangert is assisted this year by coaches Matt Palmer and Scott Hereim.
Joliet opens their season at the Wooden Tip Off in Red Lodge Dec. 10–11.
