Allie McGrath followed up a two-goal performance Friday night with a hat-trick Saturday as the Laurel High School senior led the Lady Locomotives past Missoula Loyola and Hamilton to improve to 4-0 on the season.

Raquel Jimenez’s three-in-a-row Friday gave Laurel a 9-0 win over the Breakers before their 3-1 over the Lady Broncs Saturday.

“It was a great opportunity for us to get in some different tactical sets and prepare for upcoming conference play,” said Laurel head coach Aloma Jess.

Laurel hits the road this weekend for the first time for their final two non-conference games as they head to Libby Friday and play at State A contender Columbia Falls Saturday afternoon. They open conference play a week from Thursday when they travel to defending State A Champion Billings Central.

Jimenez, a five-foot-five forward/mid fielder, scored all three of her goals in the opening half as the Lady Locomotives opened up a 7-0 lead after 40 minutes of play.

The sophomore put Laurel on the board in the fifth minute when she was assisted by Demi Albrecht. Jimenez then assisted on the next Laurel marker in the 12th minute when McGrath found the back of the net before she gave Laurel a 3-0 lead in the 18th minute.

Jimenez scored her final goal in the 37th minute that put Laurel up 6-0.
