The J-Hawks started their first 8-man football game in five years with a fury on Friday, jumping out to a 34-0 lead after one quarter against Broadview/Lavina. They held the Pirates scoreless in the first half, taking a 46-0 lead into halftime. Joliet went scoreless in the second half but the defense held for a 46-8 victory.
Head coach George Warburton said, “Our win versus Broadview/Lavina was a great way to kick off the 2017 season. We were clicking on both sides of the ball and it was a great win.”
Trey Oswald had five rushes for 70 yards and two touchdowns while Brett Robinson had one 10-yard rush for a score and a 35 yard TD catch. Ry Olson had one rush for 24-yards and a score and two catches for 36 yards and one TD.
