The J–Hawks were eliminated at the District 4B basketball tournament in Red Lodge last week. Joliet faced a tough season, having a difficult time finding more wins than losses throughout it, still the boys and the girls teams were endlessly hard-working.

Last Thursday Joliet began their on-the-court endeavors in the first round. Game six, for the boys, came out fighting but were defeated by the Roundup Panthers 69-52. On Saturday, The J-Hawk boys played hard in their second game in a loser–out matchup against Columbus, but had trouble finding the net, falling 50-27.

The Lady J-Hawks matched up against the Red Lodge Rams on Thursday, and made it a close game. Joliet held fast to their efforts, but the girls were met with a loss of 36-32. Their next game came Saturday, they beat Shepard 57-25, and were able to advance to game seven against Huntley Project in a consolation game. Though the win was near, Joliet came up shy of just a few points by the end of the game, losing 55-51, thus ending their run in the tournament.

Although the J-Hawk basketball teams will not be moving any further in the post-season, the spring sports to come will bring new opportunities onto Joliet athletics. Where one chapter ends, a new one begins.
