Homecoming week includes wacky clothes and fun

This year’s Homecoming is the week of Sept. 11-15, so students should get ready to show support of all the fall activities.
To start off the week, students at Laurel High School will participate in Spirit Week by dressing in fun designated theme attire beginning on Monday. The theme for this year’s Homecoming is “Locomotive Pride.” A pep assembly will be held on Wednesday afternoon, starting at 1:30 p.m., in the high school gymnasium. Thursday will be a busy day with volleyball playing Miles City; Freshman at 4 p.m., JV at 5:30 p.m., and Varsity at 7 p.m. Golf will be at Eagle Rock in Billings. Friday cross country teams will be at Lewistown and the Laurel Invitational Golf Tournament is at the Laurel Golf Club starting at 9 a.m.
On Friday, the annual Homecoming Parade starts at 4:15 p.m. beginning on E. Main St. at Alder Avenue and turning up First Ave. ending at the high school. Football hosts Park County at 7 p.m. Coronation activities will be held during half-time of the football game. The Homecoming Dance for high school students will follow the football game. Soccer teams travels to Belgrade on Saturday and volleyball plays Lewistown at home; Freshman at 1 p.m., JV at 2:30 p.m., and Varsity at 4 p.m. Students are encouraged to have a fun and safe Homecoming by supporting our Locomotives.
