The Loco girls team finished 6th and the boys team finished 4th. Levi Taylor and Grace Timm each won their fourth individual titles of the year.

Laurel Cross Country Coach Amy Caldeira said cool weather in Lewistown brought mixed results at Friday’s meet.
“The weather was a big factor, with some athletes marking personal bests, and others struggling with the 50 degree swing in temperature.”
Levi Taylor took 1st for the fourth time in five meets with a time of 17:06 and the boy’s team finished in 4th place.
Haden Wilson finished 24th with 18:41; Ethan Gradwohl, 34th, 18:55; Isaac Manders, 35th, 18:58, Ethan Doty, 38th, 19:08 and Johnny Herr placed 60th with a time of 20:23.
On the girl’s side, Grace Timm also won her fourth meet in five attempts with a time of 20:03, with the team placing 6th.
Other Laurel finishers included Andria Mourich, who finished 33rd at 23:26; Grace Poolet, 45th, 24:50; Rachael Rupp, 46th, 24:51; Lizzie Wisecup, 49th, 25:32; Danae Filpula-Ankney, 57th, 26:10 and Sabrina Wolcott placed 58th with 26:13.
The Locos host their first home meet in nearly two decades on Tuesday at the Laurel Golf Course. JV starts at 3 p.m. and varsity at 3:45 p.m. Caldeira is encouraging spectators, asking the Laurel public to “come out and see your local runners.”
