Free trees available in celebration of Arbor Day

To extend the celebration of Arbor Day, the Yellowstone Conservation District has scheduled another day to provide free trees for Yellowstone County citizens. Anyone interested is welcome to the give-a-way Friday, May 5, from 1-4 p.m. at the Yellowstone Cellars & Winery parking lot at 1335 Holiday Circle. Tree quantities are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. One tree will be given per person and/or family. Trees are bare root and will be individually bagged in a mulch. Trees available are 5-6 foot Green Ash, 4-4 foot Thronless Honey Locust, 2-3 foot Silver Linden and 2-3 foot Siouxland Poplar.
Attendees can also learn how to protect Montana’s waters from aquatic invasive mussels.
For More Information call the Yellowstone Conservation District at 247-4420 or 690-9326.
