Elsie Stenger

On Friday, January 25, 2019 Elsie Stenger passed away very peacefully at River Stone Hospice House.
Elsie was born to John and Emily Brester on October 23, 1937 in Missoula, Montana. On October 22, 1955 she married Leonard Stenger in Billings and the couple made their home in Laurel until 2012 when they moved to Billings due to Leonard's failing health. Elsie moved to South Forty Retirement Center on October 2016 where she resided at the time of her death.
She was preceeded in death by her parents John and Emily Brester, brothers Harold, Clarence, Alfred, John, Wilbur, Bill and sister Pearl May. She is survived by her daughters Cathy (Bill) Gaynor, Tami (Kevin) Turcotte; grandchildren Lisa Mitchell, Dera (Virgil) Blanchard, Derek (Brynn) Turcotte and Jared Turcotte; great-grandchildren Sophia and Laila Mascarena, Dylan and Jackson Wichman and twins Brandt and Wyatt Turcotte; sister June Holland and brother Richard (Rosie) Brester.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 30th at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel with interment immediately following the service at Rockvale Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to River Stone Hospice or charity of choice.
