Duck identification class offered for hunters

Montana Fish, Wildlife, and Parks will present a duck identification workshop, tailored to waterfowl hunters, Tuesday, Sept. 26, in Billings.
The free class will begin at 6:30 p.m. at FWP’s Region 5 headquarters, 2300 Lake Elmo Dr. in Billings Heights.
Jim Hansen, FWP’s Central Flyway migratory bird coordinator, and Chris Anderson, FWP game warden sergeant, will present hands-on identification tips and a video. They also will explain and answer questions about Montana’s waterfowl hunting regulations and seasons.
Montana’s duck and goose hunting season opens Sept. 30 following a special two-day youth waterfowl season for hunters ages 10 to 15 on Sept. 23 and 24.
