Dorothy Anne Gray

Dorothy Anne Gray, 79, of Laurel, passed away on March 21, 2017. Anne was born in Scobey, to Ivan and Dorothy (Morrison) Gray. Anne attended school in Miles City, and graduated from Laurel High School. She married in 1957 and began her career as a military wife. She had three children: Phillip (Sally) Hageman, John (Julie) Hageman and Mary (Barry) Lutton.
Anne started her career in nursing in 1972 at Craven Medical Center in North Carolina. Shortly thereafter, she moved her family to Joliet. She continued her nursing career at St. Vincent Hospital, Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch and Indian Health Services. Anne was honored with the Nurse of the Year Award in 2003. In her retirement, Anne enjoyed being a tour guide at the Moss Mansion.
Anne is survived by her brothers, Daniel (Janet) and James Gray. Her legacy includes grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, as well as numerous friends and her beloved service dog, Duchess.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents, sister Beverly Joann, grandson Daniel Hageman, daughter-in-law Jody Hageman and the love of her life, Wayne Fost.
Anne’s love of her family and especially her grands was expressed in many loving ways but especially in wonderful song, storytelling and strange wacky but sentimental gifts. These memories with stand tall as we navigate the future without her at our side.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 27, at Rockvale Cemetery.
Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary is assisting with arrangements. Condolences may be made online at michelottisawyers.com.
