Donald L. Smith

Don lived a long life of 91 years and was married for 61 years to his loving wife, Florine.

He is survived by his wife; three nieces Lawrene (John) Costello, Lynne Griffith, Susan (Rob) Rue; two nephews Larry (Colleen) Smith and William (Judith) Smith; his sisterin-law Carolyn (Thomas) Flaherty and his best friend Ron (Judy) Nissen.

Don served in the US Army 103rd Weather Group and was honorably discharged on June 13, 1947. He worked for Cenex Refinery until his retirement in 1988.

He was preceded in death by his parents L. L. and Mina E. Smith; two brothers Lawrence E. Smith and Clyde E. Smith; nephew Richard G Smith and niece Kittie Rae Fry.

The family wishes to thank Laurel Health & Rehabilitation and Stillwater Hospice staff for their support, very loving care and friendship through a most difficult time.

Memorials may be made to Laurel Health & Rehabilitation and Stillwater Hospice of Billings, 3737 Grand Avenue, Billings MT 59102.

Cremation has taken place. The memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Smith Funeral Chapel, 315 E. 3rd St. Laurel with burial in the Laurel Cemetery.
