David W. Ludwig, 58, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 8, 2020. He’s gone from his early home to arrive in a heavenly place.

Born in Billings, Montana on August 6, 1962, David was raised in Great Falls, Montana where he attended school, graduating and then joining the United States Army from 1981 to 1985. He spent time in Germany and was proud of his service.

He married Judy McAllister in Killeen, Texas. Together they had a daughter, Amanda, which was his biggest pride and blessing in his life.

At the time of his passing, he was employed with Montana Rail Link; he had 15 years with them. David enjoyed his job and the friends he made there. You would mostly find him working on something or helping others. In fact, if he wasn’t working, he was not his happiest. He made frequent calls to keep in touch with others. Those who knew and loved him will greatly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, and his mother, Andrea Ludwig.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Ludwig of Laurel, Montana, grandson Andy, and father, David Ludwig, of Lewistown, Montana, and brothers.

Private burial services will be given with limited attendance due to the pandemic. Once the pandemic restrictions are lifted, a memorial service will be announced.
