Darrel ‘DJ’ Jay Haase

Darrel ‘DJ’ Jay Haase

DJ was born to Roy Roland and Rita Ann Haase on December 1, 1969 in San Francisco, California. His family moved to Kelseyville where he met his best friend, Lee Warren, and graduated from high school. He spent a lot of time with his friends, and “The Crew” in Lakeport, Calif., where he met the woman of his dreams, Dawn Holland. He visited her in Montana where he gave her a ring, his heart and the best years of her life. They were married on July 22, 2000 surrounded by their closest friends and family. She was the love of his life and he was the love of hers. As soul mates they built a beautiful life together raising their own children and opening their hearts to the children that they claimed as their own and were meant to be a part of their family.

DJ’s size, from even a very young age, was something that was easily noticed by anyone that met him. Some may have wondered what caused him to be such a large individual. It did not take long for anyone to realize that his heart was so large, that his body had to grow in order be able to encase it. There was a hard shell around the outside, but those that knew him well knew the true dedication that he had to his family and friends.

His strong work ethic never faltered throughout the years, and he was finally rewarded recently by being given the ability to take over a company that he was vital in growing for almost 20 years.

The life of any party he attended, he was the first one to be at your side when in need. So many times in life, he put his own best interests aside for those he cared about the most.

Immediately you knew he was a smart ass with a thick skin. His laugh lines counted far more than his frown lines. That side of him would give up his seat at the table to see someone else succeed.

In his passions, DJ was precise, and went all in. As an avid Raiders fan, if it was to be done, it was to be done well. He lived well and loved better.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn; his daughters McKayla Haase (granddaughter Dakota); and Veronica (David) Lett and their children Little DJ and Patrick; son Robert (Krystal) Cisco; son Robby Giesick (Alissa) and Harmony, Miley, Payton, Robert, and Jackson; Sydney Hollingshead (Tazeley); Ronnie (Kayle) Zanini; Mom Betty Holland; brother Joe Haase; sister Donna (Jim) Ford; Uncle Ernie (Candy) Radley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Rita; his son James Dean Haase; grandparents Jay and Patricia Radley; and grandparents Vernon and Lila Haase.

This world has lost a dedicated, honest, loyal and loving soul for too early. He can now be with his parents and his son that awaited him. He left a heartprint on everyone he met. He will be watching over all of his loved ones.
