Christmas to Remember plans for holiday season

It was a long, hot summer; now it is time to think about cooler weather. With that in mind, even though it is hard to believe, everyone must realize that the holiday season will soon be here.
The Christmas to Remember events committee is looking forward to its annual Christmas to Remember celebration which is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 3.
The committee has a list of activities planned that should appeal to a wide variety of individuals.
A bazaar will be held at the Laurel Middle School, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. While parents shop, children will have the opportunity to engage in fun activities and the Laurel High School Band and Laurelaires will perform in the afternoon.
The Crossings will be the site of the Tour of Trees, the Creche (nativity) Festival and pictures with Santa.
Take a tour downtown to enjoy a live nativity scene at the New Hope Fellowship Church and visit business’ open houses where you can view decorated trees and windows.
A lighted parade and the ever-popular fireworks with a visit from a jolly ole man with a red suit and a long white beard will culminate the day-long festivities.
The CTR committee meets monthly on the second Monday at Reese and Ray’s IGA. All interested parties are welcome to attend. Call Chairman Jean Carroll Thompson at 248-8557 for more information.
