The Big Sky State Games has teamed up with Kenco Security and Technology to offer four scholarships that recognize the importance of sportsmanship and character in athletics. It is open to high school juniors (during the 2019-2020 school year) who have participated in the State Games. This allows the winners to serve as role models during their senior year. The scholarship deadline is this Friday, May 8.

Scholarship applications are available at the Big Sky State Games office (490 N. 31st in Billings), or online at www.bigskygames.org - please have it post marked by Friday, May 8.

“By recognizing the importance of the Six Pillars of Character, established by Character Counts, the Big Sky State Games is taking a proactive approach to developing character through participation in sports,” said Liana Susott, Big Sky State Games Executive Director. “Trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship are ethical values important in all aspects of life including the Big Sky State Games. The scholarships are an opportunity for the Big Sky State Games to reward positive behavior through sports and in life.”

Kenco Security and Technology sponsors the scholarships. The State Games Major Sponsors are Kampgrounds of America, First Interstate Bank, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana. Opening Ceremonies is sponsored by Wendy’s.
