Backyard bird feeding workshop at BPL

Billings Public Library will host Backyard Bird Feeding with Kathy Haigh from Wild Birds Unlimited on Wednesday, Jan. 24th.  The program will be held in the Billings Public Library Community Room at 5 p.m.

Bird feeders can be an important food source during winter. When severe weather impacts wild food supplies, some species of birds will turn to feeders as a critical food resource. It is during these times that feeders play their most vital role. Learn how a thoughtful, winter feeding station may mean the difference between life and death for these birds.

Kathy Haigh and her husband, John, own and operate Wild Birds Unlimited which is located at 111 South 24th West in Billings. The store recently celebrated its 16th anniversary. Kathy is a Certified Bird Feeding Specialist, holds a Bachelor’s in Business from Rocky Mountain College, an MBA and a Master of Management from the University of Mary, and is a past president of the Yellowstone Valley Audubon Society.
