Track and field camp led by Olympian

World record setter and three-time Olympic Triple Jumper (1980, 1984, 1988) Willie Banks will lead the World Record Track & Field Camp on Friday, July 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Billings West High School Track. The Track & Field Camp features Banks, along with other Olympians and elite coaches: Dick Fosbury- Olympic Gold Medalist (High Jump), Tom Pukstys- American Record Holder and two-time Olympian (Javelin) and Tom Hintanaus- two-time Olympian (Pole Vault).
The entry fee is $135 (includes camp and BSSG Track and Field registration). The coaches fee is $50 or is free if three or more of a coaches athletes attend. Register at under Track & Field. Registration for the camp closes July 7th.
Banks will also speak and light the Big Sky State Games Cauldron at Opening Ceremonies of the Games Friday, July 14th at Wendy’s Field at Daylis Stadium.
State Games Opening Ceremonies festivities include the Soaked Run, climbing wall, obstacle course, family entertainment and games, Parade of Athletes, Montana Mile, and Torch Lighting.  State Games participants are admitted free with their Opening Ceremonies tickets. Tickets are $5, children under 6 are admitted free.
