Spring cleaning

Laurel’s Bright and Beautiful Clean-up 2017 will be Saturday, May 6, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Every year in an effort to beautify the city and spruce up the yards and alleyways that have become cluttered with old tires, wood scraps and other miscellaneous junk, residents, and volunteers join forces for one massive clean sweep.
For the most efficient utilization of the crews working that day, residents who need curbside pick up should complete a work order and turn it into Laurel’s Public Works office at City Hall or drop it off at the red mailbox at New Life Church, 201 1st Ave., after April 15. Call Vi Hills at 628-8037 or 628-4796 for more information.
