Rod and Gun Club report

Irv Wilke of the Laurel Rod and Gun Club reported at Tuesday’s city council workshop meeting that the club had a successful turkey shoot Sunday, March 12, at Riverside Park. Wilke said there were 24 shooters who went through 600 birds. Twenty-four prizes were distributed. While this was the last scheduled shoot for the year, Wilke told the council he may be asking for more dates in the future. He also said he and the entire club were grateful for all the support they have received from prize donors and the city.
