Patriotic performance delights residents

School age children from the Sunshine Academy performed at the Laurel Health and Rehab Center. The youngest group of children, ages 6-8, sang “This Land is Your Land,” “America the Beautiful,” and “Waltzing Matilda.” The older group of children, ages 9-11, sang “The Star Spangled Banner,” “Montana,” and “Home On the Range.” The residents of Laurel Health and Rehab were singing along with the children and were all smiles. Many of them thanked the children for coming and expressed their gratitude. These children practiced their songs every day for two weeks before the performance.
