Their first child, James, was born in Missouri. After Jim’s discharge the family moved back to Denver, where the couple met and had been high school sweethearts. Another son was born in Denver, Lonell. After the death of this child they soon moved to Billings where Jim started working at the Post Office. Their third son, Robert, was born four days after moving to Billings. Next followed two daughters, Mary and Barbie, in the following years. Barbara was also an employee of the Post Office.
