Jessie Evelyn (Cameron) Mourich
Jessie Evelyn (Cameron) Mourich met her parents, two brothers and son in heaven Saturday morning, March 18, 2017. Jessie was born July 18, 1932 in Bearcreek, Mont., to Alexander and Jessie (Freeman) Cameron. Jessie was proud to be a member of the last graduating class of Bearcreek high school in 1950.
On May 10, 1951 Jessie married her high school sweetheart Samuel Jack Mourich. They celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a quiet dinner at Lilac last spring. They spent most of their adult lives living in Laurel where they were involved in many community activities. Jessie was known for the fine meals she prepared and always having cookies waiting for any event, then capturing and sharing pictures with those who gathered.
Jessie did a lot of handiwork (needlepoint, knitting, crocheting). She liked to keep her hands busy. The past few years she became known as "the angel lady" at Morning Star Senior Living, providing a crocheted angel as a welcome gift for every new member of the community. She also collected owls—owl ornaments, owl wall hangings, owls of all kinds.
Jessie is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Ronald and Alex, and her oldest son Roger. She is survived by her husband Sam, youngest son Jim (Terri), daughter- in-law JoAnn Mourich, six grandchildren, Kevin (Sandra) Mourich, Gerry Mourich, Andy (Adrianna) Mourich, Donielle (Jeremy) Engebretson, Samantha (Mitch Kiven) Mourich, and Brandon Mourich, along with 11 great-grandchildren.
