Jaycees’ fundraiser Friday for 5-year-old

The Laurel Jaycees are hosting a Sumo Wrestling event fundraiser Friday, March 17, at the Laurel Jaycee Hall building in Riverside Park. The event begins at 6 p.m. and the bouts will go until 10 p.m.
Entry is $5 at the door. Anyone wishing to wrestle in Sumo suits (heavily padded) can do so for $10 for three matches. Beer, pop and snacks will be available at this 21-and-over-only event.
All proceeds will go to a 5-year-old girl who lives in the area. She recently discovered she needs heart surgery very soon. Her family will be with her as she travels to Denver for the specialized operation. Their stay in Denver is expected to last at least two weeks.
The Laurel Jaycees hope to assist the family with expenses for the trip, such as hotel, transportation and meals, as they will be missing work while waiting for the outcome of the surgery.
Anyone interested in supporting this family-in-need is encouraged to show up Friday night at the Laurel Jaycee Hall and prepare to have a great time time while helping make the family and little girl’s lives less stressful.
Donations for the family can be mailed to: Laurel Jaycees, P.O. Box 1087, Laurel, MT 59044.
