Former Laurel man seeks assistance

A series of fundraisers for Brad Kindsfather’s Medical & Cancer fund has been created to help Brad Kindsfather, formally of Laurel. Kindsfather was diagnosed with a serious type of Thyroid Cancer (follicular) in December of last year. Kindsfather graduated in 1999, from Laurel High School. He was well known in the community for working at Laurel Video Library/Movie Gallery from 1995 to 2005 and served as an MOA Basketball official before moving to the Phoenix, Ariz. area. A raffle drawing has been set up to assist Kindsfather and tickets can be purchased by seeing Jocelyn Krum at the Caboose Saloon on Tuesday, May 23, from 6 p.m. until closing. Raffle tickets will also be available Wednesday, May 24, at High Plains Brewing in Laurel starting at 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. or online at Tickets are $10 each, three for $20, seven for $50, 10 for $75, or 20 for $100. There are a pair of Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood Concert Tickets to give away for the June 10th, 7:30 pm concert. The drawing for the concert tickets will be held May 27. Participants don’t have to be present to win.The seats are in section 19, row 5. In addition, all raffle tickets purchased will be valid for the drawing to be held Nov. 4. The grand prize is a 55’ Samsung Curved Smart TV. Other prizes include gifts cards and baskets. A Game Show Night fundraiser event is planned for Brad on July 8. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m. and the show will start at 8 p.m. at the Caboose Saloon in Laurel. For more information visit
