Donella Delora (Gerbhardt) Braswell, ‘Dee’

Donella Delora (Gerbhardt) Braswell, “Dee”, 84 of Laurel passed away peacefully on October 21, 2017.
Dee was born and raised on a ranch near Mildred, Montana on September 8, 1933. She attended a small county school until her sophomore year and finished high school in Terry and Miles City, Montana.
She married Louis Vollice “Sam” Braswell in Terry, Montana in on October 17, 1952​. They were married 61 years until his death in 2014.
She was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. They had three children, Candis, Becky and Kelly. She and Dad spent rate spare time with their children, fishing, camping, boating, snowmobiling, riding Dad’s Harley Davidson.
Dee took great pride in her home and family, had an infectious laugh, a quick wit and sense of humor along with loving a good joke. She loved working in the community of Laurel and had many cherished and special friends that she loved sharing time with.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter Becky K. White of Bozeman, Mont.; son Kelly L. Braswell of Laurel, Mont.; grandsons Eric Diefel and Sam (Becky) Diefel of Denver, Colo.; granddaughter Lieveka (Albright)White (Dave Albright) of Bozeman, Mont., grandson Tyler L. Braswell of Mesa, Ariz.; two great-grandsons, Benjamin Albright of Bozeman, Mont. and Corbin Braswell of Mesa, Ariz.; sister-in-law Mary Gebhardt of Deer Lodge, Mont. and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She is now resting in the arms of the angels with her parents, husband Sam, her two brothers Larry and Emil Gebhardt, daughter Candis Diefel and son-in-law Robert White.
The family would like to thank the many caregivers at St. Vincent Healthcare and Riverstone Health Hospice Service of Billings. Also, the many friends and family members who visited and gave their support.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a family memorial service, per her request at a later date; where her ashes will be combined with her husband’s and scattered at Canyon Ferry Lake.
