Chamber dinner, annual meeting successful

At Laurel’s annual Chamber of Commerce dinner/fundraiser/meeting Thursday, Jan. 23, Mary Lou Batalden took over as president of the board. Outgoing president Holly Anderson discussed the year’s successes and told the capacity crowd how grateful she was for the support of Laurel businesses throughout the year.
During Batalden’s upcoming term, the board hopes to renew the Farmers’ Market, see the continued revitalization of the downtown area and get more residents active in city activities.
