Amelia (Frank) Michael

Amelia (Frank) Michael, 98, passed away on August 4, 2017 while living at Tender Nest in Laurel , Montana.
Amelia was born in Park City, Montana on January 30, 1919 to Henry P. and Catherine E (Reiter) Frank. She attended school in Laurel and graduated in 1937 from Laurel High School. She considered this one of her greatest accomplishments.
She married Herman N. Michael on December 27, 1937. They were married for 53 years. They had four children: Sharon, Gary, Judith, and Lanny.
Amelia worked as a bookkeeper in Laurel for 22 years retiring in 1980. She was a member and active in the First Congregational Church of Laurel and a charter member in Dorcas Society.
She is survived by her two daughters Sharon Roach and Judith (Jerry) Crow; two sons Gary and Lanny (Cindy); sister Miriam (Conrad) Ostwalt; two granddaughters, nine grandsons, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters Lydia Yost and Martha Frank; three brothers George, Samuel, and Victor; grandson Mark Roach; one daughter-in-law Meryle Kay Michael; one son-in law Gerald Roach; and two great-grandsons.
Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel.
Funeral is on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. Laurel First Congregational Church.
